I'm having trouble finding metaphors in "Ode to the West Wind". Can anybody help me?

Metaphor is used throughout the poem. Shelley uses the wind to represent a force in the world that will be able to spread his thoughts to the world. ter his thoughts as the wind ters leaves, clouds, and waves. The wind then becomes a metaphor for his work as a whole. That his work will kill off all the old thoughts and be a “trumpet of a prophecy” for all of mankind. The leaves come to represent thoughts. He wants his thoughts to be lifted up like leaves and tered. Leaves also refer to the thoughts that came before his, the dead thoughts. He then uses the “spring” in the last line to represent the reawakening of the earth. He believes that if his work is able to destroy the old and dead thoughts that it will be able to spark a new thought, just as the spring brings in new life. These metaphors allow the reader to relate nature to his thoughts. Shelley only uses images of nature to represent how he feels his work is a part of nature.

She left her own two girls to trot off to the coast and live her own way. She left her kids with a man who loves them but still uses them against their mother. These girls began to doubt their mother. She then was having two affairs going. She got pregnant. She lost it. In all of this, she got pregnant again. She lost it. This so-called friend was in the bathroom. She held the dead fetus and then flushed it. I am deeply hurt. I whited out her name in my address book. Should I let it go? WHAT is wrong with people?! Why are some people so selfish and only care about their wealth & their well being?

I live a very modest life regardless of the amount my husband and i make . We drive modest cars and dont care about big flashy things or name brand everything. I spend a good deal of money on other people who NEED it, and i try and help anyone i can IF i can. While i work for people who spend lavish amounts of money on ridiculous things. She will depend on you to come in and rescue her. She will learn how to self sooth. If this carries on for too long then pick her up and comfort her. My daughter at about 1 year old used to make her self poop so I would have to pick her up and change her. Smart Kid! Now she is 16 months and sleeps great.

Bearded dragon and leopard gecko questions.?

First, please do not even consider putting your gecko with your dragon even with a wall separating them (I have a 15 yr old gecko and 2 adult 2.5 yr old dragons) Secondly, it sounds like your dragon might be stressed, which affects appetite. Stress can occur from a variety of things, even a new 'home', also common is too hot/cold (be sure your dragon has a 'shady' spot to cool off if needed) over-handling, not keeping the light schedule consistent, too much noise close to the cage, etc. What did the previous owner feed her? There are several good books, I recommend: 'The Bearded Dragon Manual' avail. at www.avsbooks.com. If any of the advice you are getting is not helping, contact a vet to rule out parasites or bowel obstruction. Here is what I feed my super healthy dragons (raised from eggs..) 1/3 each: greens, crickets, pellets. Also clean water 1-2 x day. "Zoomed" brand pellets (@ 2 Tb daily - I have never 'added water' as it just gets mushy, a texture no dragons in my experience like. Make sure whatever you buy, it is natural (has no artificial anything) and has appropriate added minerals (iodine) and calcium. For the greens, I chop romaine lettuce, turnip or mustard greens and add small amount of either melon (no seeds!) apple or strawberries (bananas are good, my Lizzies just don't like them) A few cups kept in a Tupperware in the frig is good for 3-4 days - always feed only fresh everything. Every other day, I toss a handful of large crickets in, lightly dusted with a calcium/vitamin made for dragons.

Hyponatremia home testing - My father has terminal cancer and hyponatremia, is there a home tester we can buy?

I have been best friends with this girl since I was 5, for the sake of this question let's just call her Brit. 15 years old- Weight training?

Im an average built guy, not weedy but not exactly Mr Universe. I dont think i can gain muscle that easily but ive never really tried. Im looking for a mix of size/strength, and apparently advised to stick within the 5-8 reps range for this. I have a weight bench and a variety of weights. Why is my cat suddenly acting weird around my husband?

Our cat is so cuddly and wants attention all the time and curls up next to us every chance she gets. I am 7 1/2 months prego and the father of my child has acted completely irrational towards me since day one. We had been dating about 8 months prior and always talked about having children together. A street with rows of terraces. Some have parking ares off road for 1 car and have dropped curbs. There is very limited parking and sometimes I am forced to park outside a house that has a small garage/access attached but does not have a dropped curb. Should I be simply a Christian, or a Catholic? The Early Church Fathers testify to the beliefs of the Catholic Church, but why are those practices within Catholicism so necary? The Bible tells us to keep the Commandments, and accept Christ as Lord and Savior who took our place on the cross. How do we know that Jesus venerated His mother and why do Catholics pray to her and the saints as they were divine? Did Jesus tell us to go to the bishop for confession? Did He say children should be baptised? What sense is there in child baptism?! One can only be saved upon recieving the Holy Spirit, which is the result of believing in Jesus and wanting to turn from sin and follow Him. Water baptism is what finalizes salvation and is a public expression of our faith, and was indeed commanded. So through child baptism do Catholics believe you can sin all you want and you're saved?! I really want to view this further to know what I should do to become a Christian - if being Catholic is to be a Christian..etc. I need to research Catholicism I guess, any advice/links? Thanks

Myself, I've been watching a lot less in 2006 so far since I made my New Year's resoultion to watch little or no TV. TV is just crap now, even the news is crap since they're corporatized, meaning owned by corporations. The only programs I watch is sports, that's it. Now, I mostly the radio as background noise whether it's my stereo or the internet. Who cares about the new CW network, I'm not watching it. People should focus on more important things than TV, such as rebuilding your social life if yours it's messed up. It'll get to the point that I'll donate my TV's to charity and use the time to focus on more important things.

Am I stuck? (Choosing an MOS)?

I'm trying to get my parents to sign for me to be in the 14 month DEP for the army this april. Unfortunately my recruiter mentioned that I wouldn't have much time to go to school with an MOS in combat arms. My primary choices are 13B or 31B. And I kinda have a feeling that if I say I'm picking one of those jobs they won't sign. I could always wait, but wouldn't get any DEP benefits. My non-combat choices would have to be 92A, and 25B. As far as her complaining, does she have a legitimate reason to complain or not and is it chronic? If it is chronic, then maybe she has an issue with you that doesn't get resolved and she is taking it out on you. Try finding out what her issue is and that might stop some of it. 1999 Ford Expedition, all four tires locked up yesterday, ten minutes later tires freed up and moved fine?

I heard a loud noise and then all tires felt like they locked up and the car skidded to a stop. Two people had me put the car in neutral to try to push me off the road, tires would not move. About 10 minutes later, we restarted car and put it Neutral and it still wouldn't move. Put it in Drive and it moved fine. Should mall security be granted special police powers?

In some states, private security companies are given full police powers, but most states don't have this law set in place. When i first started working mall security it was very fun, decent paying job to have as a college student.But after you work for awhile, thats when you start realizing and seeing all the crimes/fights that take place, and its not that enjoyable anymore. In our training were told to notify the police whenever crime occurs. The thing is though, the police takes forever to get there and the bad guys always get away. A lot of mall patrons break all the rules and the police doesn't really help at all.There off-duty cops, they don't want to be hled with the paper work. I'm like why does the mall hire cops, when they don;t do much or fail to respond quickly enough. The other thing is the police isn't their 24/7, their are days when their not in the mall, and thats when most crime takes place. Since mall security performs near police functions, shouldn't they be given special police powers. Mall security detects, deters, observes and reports crime. They respond to incidents such as fights, to vehicle break-ins. I don't feel safe working the mall knowing i'm unarmed security, and not much authority, if at all any to work with.

Which school is more challenging academically?

I got accepted to both Ohio State University and Michigan State University. I also got accepted into Indiana University and Penn State University, both of which I would probably have gone to, but I live in Illinois and therefore cannot afford paying so much money for out of state for my bachelor's degree. I want to go into Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, both of which OSU and MSU don't have exact programs, but can kind of wiggle their way into the program vaguely. Which school should I attend? I'm completely split, and I love both schools. I'm from Chicago, so MSU is an Amtrak ride away...however, I loved the urban feel of Columbus. But again, I love MSU for it's large campus and how many trees there are. Both teams have strong defenses and both have had lapses during the season. Both teams have excellent QBs. The Steelers have a better running game. The Steelers have offensive line problems. The Packers have enough defense to pressure Roethlisberger, but he's experienced that for the past few years and been successful. I'd I'd like to see the Packers win, but think the Steelers are more likely. This is likely to be another low scoring game. It wouldn't be a huge surprise either way it turns out - the only thing that would surprise me is if it turns out to be a blow out. well at first you had to adjust your diet first in order for you to become leaner since nutrition comes first in having a great body.. next is you have to exercise meaning you have to had a good weight training program along with supplementary cardiovascular exercises.. for me there is really no instant weight loss unless you lost a lot of water and muscle tissue which we don't like.. another one reasonable goal for having a great body is to build more strength and muscle first because that way it is easier to trim down since muscle tissue is also responsible for your metabolism since muscle burns more calories at rest.. now i ume that you are already muscular with a bit high bodyfat so you had to focus on your nutrition more so you can lose the most bodyfat possible in the fastest amount of time realistically..

okay i have done 3 solos since ive been on Competition team. I have danced to feeling good by michael buble, simply irresistible by robert palmer, and good look by basement jaxx. Im doing two this year since its my senior year im doing lyrical and jazz i got my lyrical solo song im doing simple man but my step dads version. He sings in a band but i cant find a jazz one.
