Have you ever had to be a "big girl" (or boy for men)?

Ok the song by Fergie "Big Girls dont cry" my take is that it's about realizing that the one you love might not ever grow up and you need to think about moving on....which definatly hit home for me...how many other people have had to make that kind of decision?
